Betty Boop Revived

By the time I was reading comic books, Betty Boop, a Depression era phenomenon who was actually a caricature of a Jazz era flapper, had been forgotten even by those people old enough to remember her. Even if she’d still been around, I probably would have preferred Superman and his girlfriends, Lois Lane and Lana Lang.
So when I first learned the comic character would be featured in a Broadway musical, I was skeptical. My memories of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark were not encouraging. But to my great surprise I found Boop! The Musical delightful. Here’s the link to my review.
