About The Walls Came Tumbling Down:

According to biblical scholars, Rahab, the harlot who aided the Israelites in their conquest of Jericho, was so beautiful that if a man merely said her name twice he would have an ejaculation. Christians believe she is an ancestor of Jesus. In The Walls Came Tumbling Down, she becomes an unnamed prostitute who assists an American soldier in the war-torn Middle East.

Writers Inspiration: I was in a Makor/92nd Street Y workshop for artists of all types. One evening a guest speaker spoke about Jericho and we built a small model of the city on sand. Then we marched around the model as described in the Bible. We shouted and beat on drums. And the walls did indeed fall down. I decided to focus the story on Rahab, the harlot who hid Joshua’s spies.
